Another model to add to the growing number of updates from the most popular Japanese brands in the country, the 2024 Nissan Almera makes its debut in the Philippines with a new face and an updated interior to show.
The subcompact sedan was launched as a 2022 year model last September 2021. It’s been about two years since the model first debuted in the country, and we’re getting a whole new batch of facelifted models moving into the 2024 model year.
As an option in the subcompact sedan segment, the Almera presents a decent package of power, torque, and advanced features that help it set the bar for the segment. The model launched is an improvement over the formula that Nissan first introduced with the Almera when it was revamped for the Philippines, and the facelift aims to give buyers an even fresher take on the handsome sedan in the Nissan stable. That, and a few tech upgrades help sweeten the pot.

Another model to add to the growing number of updates from the most popular Japanese brands in the country, the 2024 Nissan Almera makes its debut in the Philippines with a new face and an updated interior to show.
The subcompact sedan was launched as a 2022 year model last September 2021. It’s been about two years since the model first debuted in the country, and we’re getting a whole new batch of facelifted models moving into the 2024 model year.
As an option in the subcompact sedan segment, the Almera presents a decent package of power, torque, and advanced features that help it set the bar for the segment. The model launched is an improvement over the formula that Nissan first introduced with the Almera when it was revamped for the Philippines, and the facelift aims to give buyers an even fresher take on the handsome sedan in the Nissan stable. That, and a few tech upgrades help sweeten the pot.
The facelift brings a new bumper to the table, with the most notable change being the updated grille. Gone is the V-Motion bar in the front in favor of a very open front end with a more subtle V-Motion design. Overall, the facelift presents a more aggressive version of the Almera, giving it a menacing look that evokes a sense of sportiness. However, the N-Sport variant was dropped in favor of the VL variant, which will now serve as the new top-of-the-line trim.
The updates continue to the inside, where the 2024 Almera will get a new blue accent color instead of the black and white we’ve seen in the previous iteration. The new black and blue color scheme will be a standard feature for the top-of-the-line VL variant in the Almera lineup.
Apart from that, the 2024 Almera will also be the first Nissan in the Philippines to come with the Nissan Connect Services suite of features. The feature is the headlining story of the Nissan Almera. The feature adds a layer of connectivity to the car, allowing owners to track it through the Nissan Connect App. This feature allows users to access vehicle metrics like location, next service, and vehicle status, and also set speed warnings, location warnings, and more. The app also allows the user to control the vehicle’s lock, unlock, lights, and even remotely turn on the engine.
Speaking of, the engine is still going to be the same 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine that makes 99 hp and 152 Nm of torque mated to a CVT. Meanwhile, the manual EL variant outputs a higher torque figure of 160 Nm, but still with the same 99 hp power output.
For safety, the Almera wil get six SRS airbags, as well as Nissan’s suite of Intelligent Mobility features which include advanced driver assistance technologies such as forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and also other safety features like tire pressure monitoring, lane departure warning, and high-beam assist.
The pricelist of the 2024 Nissan Almera is as follows:
- 1.0 EL Turbo MT – P839,000
- 1.0 VE Turbo CVT – 1,059,000
- 1.0 VL Turbo CVT – P1,149,000
There will be three variants available in the lineup, and with prices hovering around the same points as before, the Almera looks to be the same great value, but now with a new face and added connectivity features.
