H0110010 Caretaker Directed by Nico Yecyec part2

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has issued a notice that it is carrying out a Special Service Campaign on specific models of the mu-X and D-MAX. The owners of the affected vehicles are advised to visit their nearest dealership to have their vehicles inspected. The issue relates to the lower second steering shaft bolt, which may have been tightened below the specified torque rating during production, and may possibly loosen over time, given the road conditions in the country. To prevent any accidents or safety hazards, IPC is inspecting and re-tightening the steering shaft bolt to meet the required torque value as a precautionary measure.

The recall only affects select units of the mu-X and D-MAX vehicles that were produced between 2020 to October 2022. The recall will cover a total of 2,273 units, with 1,579 for the mu-X and 694 for the D-MAX. IPC is requesting affected customers to allow authorized dealers to inspect their vehicles, which will take less than two hours, and it will be free of charge. The company will notify the affected owners through registered mail, and the service campaign will be announced nationwide to inform customers of the issue.

It is essential to note that the recall only concerns select units of the mu-X and D-MAX vehicles. IPC has identified the affected vehicles through a rigorous inspection process and will only recall vehicles that do not meet the required torque rating. If IPC does not contact an owner of a mu-X or D-MAX, it means their vehicle is not part of the recall.

IPC takes customer safety seriously and has taken the initiative to inspect and re-tighten the steering shaft bolt to avoid any safety hazards that may arise due to the fault. The company has advised owners of the affected vehicles to take their vehicles to their nearest authorized dealerships for inspection to ensure their safety and to avoid any inconvenience caused by possible accidents.
