The first-generation GLC was Mercedes’ compact luxury crossover SUV that slotted itself between the compact GLB, and the mid-size GLE. However, if you’re familiar with Mercedes’ naming convention, you probably know that already just by the name. The GLC made its debut in 2015 for the 2016 model year, with the GLC having run for a good seven years, the German automaker introduced its replacement last year in 2022. And now, it’s on its way to our shore this June.
In a report by Autoindustriya, they state that the official launch date of the Mercedes GLC is at June 21, 2023. Good news for the affluent and wealthy Filipinos as that means a new Merc is only a few weeks away. Unfortunately, we don’t have access to official details and local specifications for the all-new GLC at this time. However, what we do know is the dimensions of this luxurious Merc. The length of the vehicle has increased by 60mm, now measuring 4,716 mm from 4,656 mm, while the height has decreased by 4 mm to 1,640 mm from 1,644 mm, on the other hand, the width remains unchanged at 1,890 mm. In addition, the wheelbase has been extended by 15 mm to 2,888 mm from 2,873 mm.

Regarding its design, the all-new GLC showcases several updates, the most obvious of which are the fresh LED headlights and taillights, a sleeker roofline for enhanced aerodynamics, and a more pronounced front grille. Moving to the interior, the GLC draws inspiration from the C-Class, sporting a spacious cabin. For entertainment, the GLC now offers a sizable 12.3-inch tablet-inspired touchscreen positioned at the center, powered by the latest Mercedes User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system.
If you’re interested in the Mercedes GLC, keep your eye on June 21, 2023, as that will be the day when this Merc officially launches here in the country.
