A new name has been given to the Audi e-tron crossover, now known as the Q8 e-tron, which has recently been introduced in the Philippines, marking another step towards increased electrification by Audi Philippines.

The Q8 e-Tron is available in both standard and Sportback body styles, featuring a distinct design compared to the gasoline-powered Q8 available in the country. Two variants of the electric crossover are offered in the Philippine market: the 50 and the more powerful 55 model.

The exterior differences between the two variants are apparent in the grille design. The 50 model features a silver panel grille, while the 55 model sports a sportier gloss black finish. Additionally, the wheel designs vary, and the 55 variant comes equipped with a full-length panoramic sunroof. Beyond the name change, the Q8 e-tron has received several chassis enhancements to elevate its driving dynamics. Notably, modifications to the asynchronous motor concept on the rear axle have been made, incorporating torque vectoring to improve grip levels. The vehicle’s air suspension allows for customizable ride height adjustments according to the driver’s preference.

Inside the Q8 e-tron, the MMI touch response operating system takes center stage. The vehicle features two large high-resolution displays, one with a 10.1-inch diagonal and the other with an 8.6-inch diagonal, effectively replacing most conventional switches and knobs. The interior exudes luxury with ample leather and other high-end materials.
