Nissan Philippines Inc has silently introduced the 2024 GT-R, four months after the vehicle’s price was inadvertently disclosed to the public. This remarkable supercar, which first made its debut at the 2023 Tokyo Auto Salon, continues to captivate enthusiasts even after 15 years on the scene, thanks to an extensive makeover encompassing exterior changes, aero enhancements, drivetrain improvements, and subtle interior upgrades.
We were at the Tokyo Auto Salon firsthand to witness the global unveiling, and while it is an aging model, it is still very impressive nonetheless for the R35 chassis.
Starting with its exterior, the 2024 GT-R boasts a reimagined front fascia that imparts a more angular appearance to the car. The iconic V-Motion grille has undergone a transformation, now presenting a longer and sleeker profile. Notably, the side air intakes have been harmoniously integrated into the main grille, and the stylish LED daytime running lights that were introduced in the 2012 update have returned to grace the GT-R’s design, but this time in a sort of honeycomb pattern.
Shifting our focus to the rear of the car, the section connecting the diffuser and the quadruple taillights has been meticulously redesigned, ensuring a less tapered look compared to its predecessor. The diffuser area now accommodates larger rear fog lamps, centrally positioned for added visual impact. Moreover, the quad exhaust setup has been both aesthetically and functionally refined, sporting titanium burnt tips and revised to optimize airflow.

Inside the 2024 GT-R, the experience is further elevated with power-adjustable heated front seats swathed in semi-aniline leather upholstery. The cabin also showcases aluminum sport pedals, a three-spoke leather-clad steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, and push-button ignition. Driving entertainment is facilitated by an eight-inch touchscreen media interface, compatible with Bluetooth and USB connectivity. Audiophiles will appreciate the premium sound delivered by the 11-speaker Bose audio system, which employs active noise cancellation and sound enhancement technologies.
Beneath the hood, the 2024 GT-R houses the proven and trusted VR38DETT engine—a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 power plant. It dishes out an impressive 570 PS at 6800 rpm and generates 637 Nm of torque within the 3,300 to 5,800 rpm range. Power distribution is managed by a six-speed dual-clutch transmission, in conjunction with the ATTESA all-wheel drive system featuring a rear mechanical limited-slip differential.
Traction is maintained via colossal 20-inch RAYS forged alloy wheels, wrapped in 255/40 tires at the front and 285/35 tires at the rear. Halting prowess is assured by a Brembo braking system, which includes six-piston monoblock calipers with 15.3-inch ventilated rotors for the front axle, and four-piston monoblock calipers paired with 15-inch ventilated rotors at the rear.
Enthusiasts can select from a palette of captivating shades for the 2024 Nissan GT-R, including Bayside Blue, Gun Metallic, Pearl Black, Pearl White, Ultimate Silver, and Vibrant Red. The vehicle is now exclusively available at the Nissan High Performance Center in Quezon Avenue, retailing at a price of P12,445,000.
