During this significant gathering, Mr. Lee expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying “We thank the City Government of Pasig for allowing us to support and contribute to its Five-Point Agenda, specifically the ‘Education’ pillar. Together, let us nurture our youth, paving their way to access quality training and resources that will shape them into well-rounded, employed individuals.”

Mayor Sotto, known for his ardent support of education and youth empowerment, also shared his vision for Pasig City, often regarded as a “model city” in the Philippines. He emphasized the importance of aligning job skills with education, stating, “One of the things we always discuss to elevate the quality of education here is job skills matching. We need to develop a framework for multiple pathways that can lead our youth toward better careers and lives.” He further emphasized the paramount goal of providing equal opportunities to all residents for a brighter future, expressing gratitude for Hyundai Motor Philippines’ partnership, which he saw as a definitive path to achieving this goal.

Hyundai Accelerate

Hyundai Accelerate, a collaboration with the Don Bosco Technical Institute, is designed to transform lives and tap into the untapped potential of young Filipinos. Its primary aim is to bridge the gap between education and employment by offering selected students the opportunity to be employed by a Hyundai dealership after completing their On-the-Job Training (OJT). Through Hyundai Accelerate, these students will immerse themselves in automotive technology, preparing them to be leaders in car manufacturing, car shop servicing, and related fields. This initiative not only offers scholarships but also guarantees a promising future for the participants, aligning perfectly with the shared vision of Hyundai Motor Philippines and the City of Pasig.
