According to MHI, The Silang (Aguinaldo) Interchange will play a pivotal role in alleviating traffic congestion on Cavite’s busiest highway while offering a quicker path to the booming tourist attractions of Silang town and Tagaytay City. Anticipated to accommodate an additional 5,000 travelers, it will grant them effortless entry to Cavite’s vibrant locations.
This recent advancement establishes a connection between CALAX and Aguinaldo Highway in Silang, further improving accessibility and extending the advantages of convenient travel to the surrounding community and beyond.
In the near future, CALAX is set to undergo significant expansion, reaching a total length of 45 kilometers by 2024, and incorporating eight key interchanges: Technopark, Laguna Boulevard, Santa Rosa-Tagaytay Road, Silang East, Silang (Aguinaldo), Governor’s Drive, Open Canal, and Kawit Interchange. This extended network will ultimately connect to the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) in Kawit, creating a seamless connection between vital regions. Currently, CALAX’s operational sections span from Mamplasan Rotunda up to the Silang East Interchange.
The new CALAX Silang Interchange provides another solution for people who frequently commute between Metro Manila and Silang or Tagaytay, offering a means to circumvent the recurring traffic congestions that plague Aguinaldo Highway on a daily basis.
