H2709003 SEAMAN, Iniputan sa Ulo ng Asawa part2

It has only been days since the Suzuki Swift Concept made its debut at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show but it seems that the production version of the Swift is already here. Making its debut on Suzuki Japan’s website and teased briefly on their YouTube channel, the production model set for 2024 is a mirror image of the concept, faithfully preserving the beloved rounded supermini design we’ve adored for the past two decades.

Like the concept version, the new Swift bears a prominent new grille, striking LED headlights, sleek alloy wheels, and sharp LED taillights. The sporty vibes are highlighted by the retained curved hood line from the concept, reminding us further of the Swift’s sporty looks.

At the sides, Suzuki has reverted back to traditional door handles for the rear doors, replacing the pillar-mounted door handles that are currently on the outgoing model. In terms of size, the 2024 Suzuki Swift measures in at 3,860 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width, and 1,500 mm in height, and sports a 2,450 mm wheelbase. When compared to the current-generation Swift available in the Philippines, the all-new hatchback is 20 mm longer, 40 mm narrower, and 5 mm taller. Despite the longer body, the wheelbase remains unchanged. This means that the new Swift might still be built on the Heartect platform used by the current model.

The interior images reveal a revamped dashboard layout, featuring a fresh nine-inch touchscreen equipped with an infotainment system compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Below the touchscreen, tactile feedback devotees rejoice, you’ll find a set of physical climate control switches, and even further down, convenient USB charging ports. While a new set of driver instruments makes an appearance, the steering wheel and gear lever maintain the same familiar look as the previous model.

Suzuki Swift New Engine

Powering the 2024 Suzuki Swift is the new Z12E 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine, taking the reins from the 1.2-liter K12C four-cylinder. Suzuki says the new engine is “highly efficient,” emphasizing its ability to deliver “sufficient torque at low speeds.” The power generated is channeled through a CVT, now a standard feature across the entire range in the Japanese market. Additionally, the Swift offers the option of a full-time four-wheel drive system.

As previously mentioned, this all-new hatchback comes with a mild hybrid variant, incorporating a 12-volt integrated starter generator (ISG) for swifter acceleration and a more fuel-efficient drive. The mild-hybrid variant also gets an electronic parking brake, a feature exclusive to this variant alone.

Additional specifications and details about the 2024 Suzuki Swift are slated to be released at a later date in Japan. Despite this, the automaker has already started accepting applications from eager customers.
