Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. has given two H-100 trucks to the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s office in Manila, which will be used for disaster response and helping out in the community.

The handover ceremony took place on January 25 at the DSWD-NCR Sanctuary Center, with representatives from HMPH, including President Mr. Dongwook Lee, Managing Director Mr. Cecil Capacete, and Chief Finance Officer Mr. Hongshik Chin. The H-100 trucks were received by DSWD-NCR’s Assistant Regional Directors, Ms. Miriam Navarro and Mr. Benchie Gonzales.
Hyundai Motor Philippines, which started in June 2022, sells Hyundai cars in the Philippines, and their goal is to offer cars that are good for the environment and people. In addition, the company wants to be a long-term partner for its customers, promoting a sustainable future, which it is currently pushing for considering its recent donation.

Mr. Lee from Hyundai mentioned that since 2019, when the company started focusing on its goal, they have been looking for ways to help people and communities. He expressed happiness about being able to support DSWD’s work. The H100 trucks are intended to help DSWD in its mission to assist more people.

The H100 is a small truck from Hyundai, which has a 2.5-liter diesel engine and a six-speed manual transmission, made to perform well in hard conditions while keeping the driver and passengers comfortable. The truck is available in different styles to fit various needs and comes with a five-year or 200,000-km warranty.
