H2609003 Ka Ibigan part2

The Ford Explorer is now in its fifth year in the market, as such, Ford is rolling out a set of upgrades and revisions for its SUV. The updates include changes to the SUV’s exterior, interior, and tech features. What’s more, Ford is trimming down the Explorer lineup along with the facelift. The Explorer comes in four variants, the Platinum, ST-Line, ST, and Active, with the hybrid version being dropped from the lineup.

Starting with the looks, Ford updated the Explorer’s front fascia and redesigned its taillights, with other areas retaining the bodywork of the pre-facelift version.  At the front, the 2025 Explorer gets a larger grille along with reshaped headlights. The grille has been extended downward on the SUV, pushing the air curtains to the corners, giving the Explorer a more pronounced, square-jawed appearance. In 2025, each trim level will be given its own distinct grille. At the rear, redesigned taillights stretch horizontally onto the standard power liftgate, framing the Explorer’s nameplate at the back.

Inside, the Ford Explorer gets a revised interior. The focal point in the interior upgrades is Ford’s innovative Digital Experience, integrating a 12.3-inch digital cluster and a 13.2-inch central infotainment screen. Powered by the Unreal Engine, the graphics are exceptionally sharp. Supported by Google, the system includes full functionality for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Ford has redesigned the dashboard housing all this tech to provide additional interior space while at the same time keeping the design fresh.

Deeper inside the cabin, the 2025 Explorer is equipped with dual wireless charging pads on the center console, along with eight USB-C charging ports and three 12V power outlets. These along with Ford Co-Pilot 360 will be standard equipment on the new Explorer.

Ford Explorer ST Front

The powertrain options for the Explorer remain the same as before. The Blue Oval’s standard engine is the 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder, generating 300 hp and 420 Nm of torque, featured in the Active, ST-Line, and Platinum trims.

The 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 continues as the standard engine for the top-trim ST model and is an optional choice for the Platinum trim. This engine maintains its output at 400 hp and 563 Nm of torque. Standard across the lineup is a recalibrated 10-speed automatic gearbox and rear-wheel drive. Buyers can still opt to have all-wheel drive as an option for all variants.

Here in the Philippines, Ford has recently announced that it has boosted the availability of Explorer models across the country. If you don’t want to wait for the facelifted version, you can buy the current version right now. To get started on your purchase, you can head over to the Ford Explorer Car Guide on AutoDeal.com.ph.
