BYD (Build Your Dreams) seems to have built the dream cars of people as it is once again gaining global attention in the automotive world, with its electric vehicles, the Seal and Dolphin, in contention for the 2024 World Car of the Year awards.
The recognition might be a good step for BYD’s expansion into the Philippine market. As BYD’s sedan, Seal, is a top 10 finalist for the overall title, and the BYD Dolphin hatchback is a top 5 finalist in the World Urban Car category, BYD’s entry into the Philippines is more anticipated than ever.
Antonio Zara III, President of Mobility Access Philippines Ventures, Inc. (MAPVI), the exclusive distributor of BYD cars in the country, is excited about this. According to him, he considers it a huge deal that two BYD models are up for the awards, which shows how well BYD is doing as a company and in making new electric cars.
