“Mazda has always prided itself in building cars that create a lasting, almost inseparable bond with its owner. Today, we are proud to announce that we are bringing in AutoExe to the Philippines. We see this as the next step to offer more to our customers, and of course, to Mazda enthusiasts.”

Steven Tan
President and CEO of Mazda Philippines

AutoExe Tower Brace

So, now that we know how much the MX-5 AutoExe Edition costs, what are the individual benefits of the added parts? Let’s start with the AutoExe tower brace set. Mazda states this brace set is an evolved tower bar thanks to its three-dimensional structure, allowing energy to be distributed evenly while doubling the rigidity of the front and rear suspension. This results in increased agility and steering response.

AutoExe Member Brace Set

Meanwhile, the AutoExe member brace set is an advanced version of a lower arm bar. Whereas a typical lower arm bar only directly connects the left and right sides, the AutoExe member brace set covers a wider area and effectively suppresses the twisting motion of the body.

AutoExe Shift Knob

Made of genuine leather hand-sewn by professional craftsmen, the AutoExe MT shift knob is designed for form and function. It features details such as sporty red stitching and a black alumite logo plate with a laser-printed logo, enhancing the look and texture. No better way to improve the driving experience than improving the object you interact with the most right?

AutoExe Key Cover

Finally, there is the AutoExe Carbon Key Cover. Made of dry carbon, it is produced with the same autoclave method used for making racing car bodies. Etched with the AutoExe logo, it fits the MX-5’s standard advanced key. It’s not gonna win you any races but it certainly gets you in the mood for one.

MX-5 AutoExe Edition

Moving to the company that produced the aforementioned equipment, AutoExe is a renowned tuning company and parts manufacturer specializing in Mazda vehicles. Established by Yojiro Terada, a former Mazda works driver, AutoExe’s engineering ethos is deeply rooted in the Le Mans spirit. Terada, also known as “Japan’s Mr. Le Mans,” boasts the most appearances at the prestigious endurance race. Leveraging his extensive racing experience, he has utilized the Circuit de la Sarthe, the venue for the annual race, as a crucial development platform.

AutoExe Disc Brakes

Because Le Mans takes place on public roads, AutoExe parts transcend mere aesthetics or exclusive circuit applications. The core objective, according to them, is to deliver a “New Driving Sensation,” emphasizing parts and accessories tailored for street or daily driving. AutoExe engineers components to enhance driving performance without compromising practicality and comfort. Their approach focuses on developing parts that synergize to form a well-rounded, cohesive driving experience or in simpler terms, a car you can take to the track and to the shops.

The official introduction of AutoExe in the Philippines is scheduled before the year’s end. Further details regarding the partnership, including part availability and pricing, will be revealed close to the launch date.
