In the Philippines, the Nissan Kicks e-POWER has only been in the country for two years since it launched in August 2022. However, for the rest of the world, the Nissan Kicks has been “kicking” around for much longer than that, eight years to be precise.
With that said, the Kicks is ripe for replacement, and Nissan has done just that with the unveiling of the next-generation Kicks for the North American market. Now in its second iteration, the Kicks utilizes a new platform and features a new engine and fully redesigned exterior.

Starting with the exterior, the all-new Kicks has a visibly boxier stance than before thanks to its flatter nose and horizontal grille. Though the V-Motion design is not as apparent on the front end it now carries a more futuristic style with its DRLs integrated into the horizontal grille. If you want to see where the V-Motion design remains, you have to look at the new Kicks dead-center to see the V-shape formed by the headlights and grille.

At the sides, the Kicks’ boxy looks are complemented by the wheel arches and 19-inch wheels which are more defined than before giving the crossover a more wide stance. Moving to the back, the rear end is also quite busy with the boomerang-shaped LED taillights and rear spoiler combo. From the back, the overall design gives the impression that the Kicks is wearing a cap, especially with the two-tone color scheme featured in the launch model.
Size-wise, the all-new Kicks boasts a 71 mm increase in length, 41 mm wider body, 20 mm taller stature, and an extended wheelbase by 50 mm over the previous model. Moreover, the minimum ground clearance now reaches 213 mm.

Inside, Nissan has completely revamped the interior of the all-new Kicks, offering increased rear-seat legroom, tech, and cargo space. The SR variant in America is equipped with two 12.3-inch display screens, one for the gauge cluster and the other for the infotainment system. Connectivity options include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, buyers can opt for a 10-speaker Bose audio system and a panoramic sunroof from the available options sheet.
Meanwhile, under the hood, the all-new Kicks has a beefier 2.0-liter, four-cylinder gasoline engine, generating 139 hp and 190 Nm of torque. This powerplant is paired with a CVT transmission, directing power to the front wheels. Additionally, Nissan provides the option for all-wheel-drive. As of now, Nissan has not introduced an e-Power variant for the all-new Kicks but we may see one on the horizon a few months down the line.
The all-new Nissan Kicks will go on sale in North America by the middle of 2024. For other markets like the Philippines, the second-gen Kicks might take a while before it reaches our shores. Don’t worry though, Nissan has a lot of exciting offerings here in the country to satisfy your cravings and needs, just give them a look at the AutoDeal Car Guide.
