The revised 4th-gen 5.0-liter “Coyote” V8
Starting with the engine, the all-new Mustang debuts with the upgraded 4th generation Coyote V8 engine. Now utilizing dual air intake and dual throttle bodies, the Mustang’s 5.0-liter V8 now puts out 486 hp and 567 Nm of torque. This power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission. Keep in mind that all this power is produced without forced induction, meaning you won’t get any turbo lag with the Mustang’s mighty V8.

The revised 4th-gen 5.0-liter “Coyote” V8
Starting with the engine, the all-new Mustang debuts with the upgraded 4th generation Coyote V8 engine. Now utilizing dual air intake and dual throttle bodies, the Mustang’s 5.0-liter V8 now puts out 486 hp and 567 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the Ecoboost model continues to thrive, now driven by a fresh four-cylinder turbocharged 2.3-liter engine. Don’t think for one second that the four-cylinder version is a slouch because this engine delivers 314 hp and 475 Nm of torque.
A revolution of the Mustang style
The 7th-gen Mustang still carries the muscular style and design its predecessors had but now with an injection of futuristic styling. It still showcases a wide grille adorned with the Mustang emblem prominently displayed at the front, accompanied by sleek LED headlights. The triple-bar LED taillights are still here but Ford has added a cut in the Mustang’s rear bumper giving it a more distinctive look. Both V8 and EcoBoost variants sport large 19-inch wheels with a few differences. In the GT version, the front features 255/40/R19 tires, while the rear is fitted with 275/40/ZR19 rubber. Conversely, the EcoBoost variant is outfitted with 255/40/ZR19 tires on all four corners.
Overall, the 7th-gen Mustang modernizes the distinct DNA of Ford’s pony car. It strikes a good balance between retro-inspired design and modern style, its design exudes the Mustang heritage without sacrificing its individuality.
Upgrades all around
In addition to its sharp exterior, the seventh-generation Mustang receives significant upgrades in its interior and technology offerings. Designed with a focus on the driver, it features a cockpit inspired by fighter jets, boasting two sleek and curved displays that can be easily customized to show desired information.
The pony car is equipped with a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster, which offers various animated designs and drive-mode-dependent visuals. The default instrument gauge setting adopts an ultra-modern copper theme, akin to the Mustang Mach-E.
Complementing the digital instrument cluster is a sizable 13.2-inch infotainment system, featuring the brand’s SYNC 4 technology.
In addition to the remodeled interior, every version of the Mustang is equipped with the intelligent Pro Pilot system upping the Mustang’s safety. This system offers the pony car a range of smart driving aids, including adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, lane-centering assist, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, and additional features.
Official availability of the new Mustang will start in May. As for prices, the Mustang line starts with the 2.3L EcoBoost Premium Fastback priced at P3,499,000 while the 5.0L GT Premium Fastback comes with a price tag of P3,999,000.
