Meet the 2024 Shelby Super Snake Mustang, an angrier and more focused version of the 2024 Mustang. The Super Snake is available with the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter Coyote V8 or one equipped with a Whipple supercharger bumping the power from 480 hp to 830 hp. Though torque figures were not mentioned on Shelby American’s website for the 2024 Super Snake, it is safe to assume that the supercharged version will be way higher than the standard Coyote V8’s 567 Nm of torque.

Last week, Ford Philippines announced the arrival of the seventh generation of the beloved Ford Mustang. In the same week, Shelby American also celebrated the Mustang’s anniversary by revealing its first creation with the S650 Mustang Platform.

Meet the 2024 Shelby Super Snake Mustang, an angrier and more focused version of the 2024 Mustang. The Super Snake is available with the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter Coyote V8 or one equipped with a Whipple supercharger bumping the power from 480 hp to 830 hp. Though torque figures were not mentioned on Shelby American’s website for the 2024 Super Snake, it is safe to assume that the supercharged version will be way higher than the standard Coyote V8’s 567 Nm of torque.
Shelby American hasn’t just focused on tweaking the Coyote V8. They’ve also outfitted the Super Snake with, a Borla exhaust system for better flow, beefier brakes for added strength, and improved cooling to fully exploit the powertrain’s potential. If you go for the six-speed manual, you’ll also benefit from a short-throw shifter and a one-piece driveshaft.
The Super Snake also gets a revamped suspension system engineered for superior handling. Shelby American fine-tuned the suspension to enhance turn-in responsiveness and ensure the muscle car maintains a secure grip on the road surface.

To fully harness the increased power, Shelby American implemented weight-saving measures for the 2024 Super Snake. This includes equipping it with an aluminum hood, carbon fiber fenders, magnesium alloy wheels to reduce rotational mass and enhance acceleration, and a carbon fiber wing to provide additional downforce. If you opt for the convertible, the massive rear wing is substituted with a more low-profile ducktail spoiler.
Shelby American has not disclosed pricing details for the 2024 Super Snake but has confirmed that production will commence in mid-summer. With only 250 units slated for production in the United States as well as a limited number of models making it to other markets, the Super Snake will be one very rare Mustang.
