The new ASX has undergone quite a few redesigns especially at the front, which works well with Mitsubishi’s Dynamic Shield design philosophy. The front face features a modern look with a blacked-out center bumper and satin silver motifs that add to its good appearance. It also includes sophisticated LED headlights that improve the vehicle’s modern feel, alongside new 18-inch black alloy wheels with a diamond-cut finish for a sportier look.

Inside the cabin, the ASX increases the competition among its competitors with cutting-edge technology. It brags a new Smartphone-link Display Audio system with a 10.4-inch display, and it’s the first Mitsubishi model to include Google built-in services. The feature integrates Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play directly into the car’s system, allowing drivers to use voice commands for various functions such as making calls, sending texts, playing music, and staying on track with real-time traffic updates.

Safety has also received an upgrade in the new ASX with the inclusion of Park Assist, which helps drivers with garage, front-facing, and parallel parking. Additionally, the vehicle comes with an Around View Monitor to detect obstacles and Rear Cross Traffic Alert to make safety during driving better.

Regarding powertrains, the new ASX offers a full hybrid model featuring a 1.6-liter gasoline engine paired with two electric motors, and a mild hybrid model with a 1.3-liter direct injection turbo engine, providing options for both traditional and eco-friendly driving preferences.

Europe is already enjoying the new ASX, and it makes you wonder if it’ll drive into the Philippine market soon. With more Filipinos looking for good compact SUVs and Mitsubishi being a favorite brand, the new ASX could be a big seller here.
