Starting off with the exterior, the new Kicks gets slightly sportier styling with a touch of futuristic elegance. It appears to be a complete styling overhaul when compared to the previous iteration, as it flaunts a boxier look with a massive front grille and sleek two-tone finish. Up front, the large grill borrows styling inspirations from the Nissan Z, while on the sides, large fender flares give the Kicks a sportier, more rugged feel.

Moving on to the interior of the new Kicks, we find a fully digital display that blends in seamlessly with the infotainment system. It’s a clean look that we’re beginning to see in crossovers of this nature. Of course, there’s red stitching all over the interior to give the car a sportier feel. More red accent pieces can be found around the center console—and it’s worth mentioning that the new Kicks features physical buttons—very useful when adjusting your AC all while keeping your eyes on the road.

In its US trim, the 2025 Nissan Kicks will be powered by a 2.0-liter, inline-four cylinder naturally aspirated engine. Over there, it pumps out 141 hp and 190 Nm of torque. Best of all, it even gets Nissan’s Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive system. While that’s cool and all, there’s a but—and it’s a big but.
Here in the Philippines, the Nissan Kicks is sold with an e-Power powertrain, that’s to say, the innovative hybrid system we’ve come to know and love. That said, Nissan has yet to unveil a revised Kicks rocking the e-Power system, and so it may still be some time until we see a restyled Kicks here in the Philippine market.
