The new blueprint seems to spell out Mitsubishi’s plan to further improve its lineup with electric and hybrid vehicles by 2030. The “Momentum 2030” plan strives to continue this progress by introducing new vehicles and powertrains, opening new dealerships, and making the technology a lot better to improve the car buying and ownership experience.

Mark Chaffin, the president and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors North America, expressed excitement about the company’s direction, mentioning the company’s achievements since 2018, wich include relocating their headquarters to Tennessee, launching successful new models, and building strong dealer partnerships.

“Mitsubishi Motors is at a pivotal point in North America, charting a bold, clear and attainable plan for our future success in the United States. Back in 2018, we started to consider our path forward, and that plan brought us a new headquarters location in Tennessee; new vehicle launches that led to record Internet search results, sales records and brand successes; and outstanding dealer partners winning customer satisfaction awards. Momentum 2030 will build on that, setting the stage for new powertrains and vehicles being introduced, new dealerships being opened, and new technologies being developed to make the shopping and ownership experience faster, easier and more enjoyable.”

In addition, Momentum 2030 also aspires to grow Mitsubishi’s investment in North America, benefiting from local production capabilities and improving its workforce. The company is planning to overhaul its sales model to provide for younger consumers as well, which includes the adoption of advanced technology in sales processes and the expansion of Mitsubishi’s retail presence into new U.S. markets.
