Some big changes (and cars) are coming to Mitsubishi’s car lineup in Australia, and it’s likely that some of these updates could make their way to the Philippines.

Mitsubishi is planning to introduce a variety of new models, including electric and hybrid vehicles, and a new, tougher version of the Triton. First on the list, Mitsubishi plans to launch its first electric vehicles in Australia in over a decade, along with some hybrids and plug-in hybrids. The push into electric and hybrid technology points would possibly provide more sustainable driving options, which could also attract Filipino buyers looking for greener vehicle choices.

Another exciting potential addition is a new version of the Triton. Made to compete with the likes of the Ford Ranger Raptor, the model features larger wheel arches and higher suspension, suggesting it could handle both city roads and tougher off-road conditions, which could be especially appealing in the Philippines, where both urban drivability and rough road drive readiness are valued.

Mitsubishi also hinted at a large SUV that might take the place of the Pajero Sport and a new version of the Delica people-mover. In addition to these, the teaser from Mitsubishi showed a few compact SUVs too. These smaller vehicles might be perfect for the congested city streets in the Philippines. There’s also a high-riding, wide-body version of the Triton next to what seems like another small SUV and a vehicle that looks a lot like an updated Outlander.

We don’t know yet if all these new models will replace current ones or if they’re just adding more choices. Either way, it looks like Mitsubishi is planning to give its customers a lot more options. While we wait for official news, it’s exciting to think about what these new models could mean for Mitsubishi fans in the Philippines. Besides, we’re all excited to see what’s next for Mitsubishi in the Philippines!
