VinFast, a pioneering automaker from Vietnam, is introducing this tiny but mighty electric SUV to the Philippine market. The VF 3 stands out with its even smaller dimensions than the beloved Suzuki Jimny. It measures just 3,190mm in length, 1,679mm in width, 1,622mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,075mm. With a boxy design that includes squared-off fenders and box-flared arches, plus tough-looking black cladding, the VF 3 carries a sturdy charm that competes well with the Jimny’s rugged appeal.
Inside the VF 3, VinFast opts for simplicity and functionality. There is a single screen that handles both information and essential vehicle stats like speed and battery charge. Although it’s compact, VinFast claims that five people can fit comfortably inside, making it a surprisingly roomy option for its size.

The VF 3’s power comes from a single electric motor that delivers the drive to the rear wheels. It produces 43 horsepower and 110Nm of torque, powered by an 18.64kWh battery, where the setup offers an estimated driving range of up to 210km. Plus, it supports fast charging, which can boost the battery from 10% to 70% in about 36 minutes, so don’t worry; you won’t have to wait around for long.

While we’re still waiting for the exact date of its debut in the Philippines, the official word from VinFast is enough to keep the anticipation high. Over in Vietnam, the VF 3 has already caught a lot of attention, with tons of bookings made shortly after its release. It looks like it’ll start hitting the roads there by August 2024, and VinFast aims to deliver 20,000 units by the end of the year.
So, if you’re in the market for something new and electric, keep an eye out for the VF 3. It might just be the smart, stylish SUV you’ve been waiting for.
