The launch of the Xforce is fast approaching, and Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has heightened the anticipation by revealing the variants, prices, and features of its eagerly awaited crossover.
Set for launch in July, the Xforce will be Mitsubishi’s subcompact crossover offering, a spot previously filled by the ASX. As such, it will take on the likes of Nissan Kicks e-POWER, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and Toyota Yaris Cross, as well as rivals from China like the GAC GS3 Emzoom, and Geely Coolray.

Starting with the lineup, the Xforce will be available in two variants at launch: the GLS and the top-of-the-line GT. Both models will be powered by the 4A91 engine derived from the Xpander. As you would expect, the Xforce’s engine puts out 103 hp and 141 Nm of torque, the same as its MPV stablemate. The main difference can be found in the transmission, whereas the Xpander transfers power to its driven wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission, the Xforce is equipped with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
In terms of dimensions, the XForce is 4,390 mm long, 1,810 mm wide, and 1,660 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,650 mm. It also stands high off the ground with a ground clearance of 193 mm. The vehicle is equipped with 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels fitted with 255/50 R18 tires with disc brakes equipped on all four wheels.

Despite being a front-wheel drive crossover, the Xforce features selectable drive modes—Normal, Wet, Gravel, and Mud—allowing it to handle uneven terrain with ease, even without four-wheel drive. Additionally, it is equipped with Mitsubishi’s Active Yaw Control (AYC), providing extra confidence on the road.
Inside, the Xforce comes with a high-tech and sleek cabin. All variants feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with Bluetooth and USB connectivity. The PH-spec Xforce, like its ASEAN counterparts, boasts an eight-speaker sound system from motorcycle and audio equipment experts, Yamaha
Additional amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, 40:20:40 split-rear seats, an eight-inch digital instrument panel, rear aircon vents, an electronic parking brake, ISOFIX rear anchors for child seats, ambient lighting, and multiple Type A and Type C USB charging ports.
Opting for the GT will net buyers exclusive features such as a wireless mobile phone charger, synthetic leather seats, rain-sensing wipers, adaptive cruise control, and rear parking sensors.
In terms of safety, the top-spec GT is equipped with a forward-collision warning with autonomous emergency braking, lead-car departure notification, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and auto high beam. While the XForce comes standard with a reversing camera, only the GT includes rear proximity sensors. Both variants feature active yaw control and hill-start assist.
