On July 1, 2024, Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI) announced that buyers can now avail of the Kicks e-POWER crossover at a much lower price. Specifically, Nissan reduced P60,000 across the entire Kicks e-POWER range.

In addition to the price cut, Nissan also extended the Kicks’ battery warranty from five years to eight years. Now the Kicks’ is not only more affordable, but it also stands out as a viable option for buyers who are still on the fence about the reliability of EVs and hybrids.
As a refresher, though the Kicks’ uses electricity to propel itself, the battery and electric motors are powered by a three-cylinder gasoline engine. The e-POWER system that the Kicks’ utilizes makes it a series-hybrid because the gas engine only supplies juice while the electric motors do the work. This system allows drivers to drive an EV without the range anxiety that comes with it since they can still utilize the network of fuel stations across the country. Pretty neat right?
