Just when you thought Mustangs were already as powerful as they can get, Ford outdoes itself and drops its toughest Mustang GTD ever made. Ford has officially introduced the 2025 Mustang GTD, naming it as the most powerful Mustang in the company’s history. Equipped with a supercharged 5.2L V8 engine, the Mustang GTD delivers an astounding 815 hp and 900 Nm of torque. This sheer power propels it to a top speed of 202 mph, making it the fastest street-legal Mustang ever produced.

The Mustang GTD is made to perform well on the track, targeting a sub-seven-minute lap time at the Nürburgring. Thus, it comes with advanced technology that adjusts the car’s aerodynamics, including a Drag Reduction System that fine-tunes the airflow over the car to balance speed and stability. Moreover, the GTD is equipped with carbon-ceramic brakes and an innovative rear suspension system with semi-active dampers, which are needed for maintaining control at high speeds.

Under the hood, Ford’s engineers have introduced a dry-sump oil system to make sure the engine performs well even under extreme cornering forces. The new system supports a higher maximum engine speed, now reaching up to 7,650 rpm. The engine’s capability is further improved by a smaller supercharger pulley and a better intake and exhaust system, which includes a titanium exhaust as a standard feature.
