H1909003 Anak Na Subsob Sa Trabaho Na Promote Sa Kanyang Ginawa part2

Nissan Philippines makes a big statement at the 2024 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) with the unveiling of four new cars for the Philippine market. Their upcoming offerings are a mixed bag of sorts so we’ll walk you through them one by one.

X-Trail e-POWER

The first vehicle is the Nissan X-Trail, making a comeback after the previous T32 generation made its quiet exit in the local market. The X-Trail bound for our market, however, is the all-new T33 generation and it comes with the e-POWER powertrain same as you’d find in the Kicks e-POWER.

The T33 generation X-Trail is built on the Renault-Nissan CMF-CD platform and is fitted with Nissan’s second-generation e-POWER series-hybrid powertrain. This crossover is propelled by electric motors which sources power from a small battery pack which is then supplied by a small gasoline engine.

Z Nismo

Nissan Z Nismo

Next up, another much-awaited vehicle from enthusiasts and Nissan fans alike, the Z Nismo. As you would expect, a Nissan car bearing the Nismo name means it comes with a ton of visual upgrades and mechanical improvements over the base Z.

Nissan’s tuning division put its magic into the Z’s V30DDTT V6 via several improvements such as enhanced ignition timing, a redesigned turbo wastegate, and of course, improved cooling for the oil and engine. Thanks to these upgrades, the Z Nismo puts out 420 hp and 521 Nm of torque.

To improve the Z’s handling, Nismo added more bracing to the coupe’s body to decrease flex during cornering. Other changes include a new steel driveshaft, larger dampers, and larger four-piston brakes that are accompanied by larger disc brakes.

As for the looks, the most obvious changes can be seen at the front, starting with the bigger grille, a redesigned nose, and the Nismo-exclusive Stealth Grey color. Other changes include the large 19-inch Rays forged alloy wheels and a three-piece rear spoiler for added downforce.

Nissan Magnite

Nissan Magnite

Up next, we’ve got the Magnite. The Magnite is a subcompact crossover slotting below the Kicks in size, making it the smallest crossover in Nissan’s entire lineup. It’s built on an extended version of the CMF-A platform dubbed the CMF-A+ and is powered by a small three-cylinder gasoline engine. This size puts the Magnite in contention of the likes of the Kia Sonet, Geely GX3 Pro, the Changan CS15, and of course, the Toyota Raize.

Nissan Patrol

Nissan Patrol

Unveiled last September 3, 2024, in Abu Dhabi, a country that absolutely adores the Patrol, Nissan’s largest SUV is the last piece of Nissan’s four-car reveal. Now featuring the model code Y63, this is the latest iteration of Nissan’s luxurious and capable full-size SUV.

For this generation, Nissan has dropped the V8 and has now opted to use a V6 for its SUV. The Y63 Nissan Patrol retains the wheelbase length of its predecessor but has gained a few millimiteres of length and width, now surpassing the 2,000 mm in width. As for the exterior, the all-new Patrol is sleeker, sharper, but still contains these qualities in a boxy and muscular body. Up front, you’ll find the next-generation of Nissan’s V-Motion design language as evidenced by the slim DRLs and imposing front grille.

It is, however, important to note that the new Patrol was only previewed at PIMS 2024, and Nissan has yet to announce an official launch for the new model in the local market just yet. In fact, Nissan seems to be keeping the full details of the upcoming Patrol a secret, as the SUV was kept under drapes for majority of the expo.

If you want to get a glimpse of these cars, check out the Nissan booth at the 2024 PIMS starting today until October 27, 2024.
