H1909007 Kapitbahay na Sobrang Ingay, Tinuruan ng Leksyon!!! part2

Pickup trucks are a staple on Philippine roads, with models like the Ford Ranger leading the pack on AutoDeal.com.ph. Given the strong consumer demand, Kia’s recent reveal of its first-ever pickup, the 2025 Tasman, couldn’t come at a better time. Set to challenge well-loved contenders like the Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara, Mitsubishi Triton, and Isuzu D-MAX, the Tasman offers another compelling choice in the market.

Unveiled at the Jeddah International Motor Show, the Tasman features a rugged design with Kia’s signature Tiger Face grille and a durable boxy frame. Built on a body-on-frame platform, it offers up to 252 mm ground clearance for the X-Pro variant and boasts practical touches like storage fenders and optional bed-mounted power outlets.

Under the hood, the Tasman has two engine choices: a 2.2-liter turbodiesel with around 207 horsepower and 441 Nm of torque, or a 2.5-liter turbo petrol engine making approximately 277 horsepower and 421 Nm of torque. Both engines pair with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, which includes specialized terrain modes for added versatility.

Inside, the Tasman blends comfort and tech, with a panoramic dashboard setup, hidden storage compartments, and optional features like an 8-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Safety features include Kia’s advanced driver-assist systems like lane keep assist and remote park assist.

While it’s slated for an initial release in South Korea and other markets, we’re hopeful for a Philippine launch soon. Kia’s Tasman has the potential to add a fresh dynamic to the competitive pickup scene here, and we’re eagerly waiting to see how it measures up.
