While the U.S. version mostly stayed the same, the 2025 Kia Sportage in South Korea received a fresh look and added features. The new Sportage features a redesigned front end, including new headlights with a different lighting pattern. The boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lights are replaced by longer lights that sit vertically, while the grille has a new look that changes depending on the trim level.

Inside, the Sportage now features a larger 12.3-inch curved infotainment screen, which matches the 12.3-inch digital instrument setup. The air vents have been redone, and more ambient lighting has been added to brighten up the cabin. Physical controls are retained, which many drivers will appreciate. Kia has added a new Lounge Brown interior option, and the steering wheel has a new, colorful design. A head-up display and a camera mounted on the steering wheel to check if the driver is paying attention, while sensors in the steering wheel make sure your hands are in the right spot, and a fingerprint scanner has been added for extra security.
One of the most family-friendly features is the new Baby & amp; Toddler mode. When you turn it on, the acceleration becomes smoother to avoid bothering little ones in the back seat. To make the ride even quieter and more comfortable, Kia added upgraded dampers and more soundproofing in the B-pillars and doors. These features are also seen in the 2025 Hyundai Tucson, which shares some parts with the Sportage.

Under the hood, the turbocharged 1.6-liter engine now comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission instead of the previous seven-speed dual-clutch. The hybrid model has also been given a bit more power. While these updates are first launching in South Korea, they should make their way to other markets soon, so the wait for the Philippines shouldn’t be too long.
