H1809006 Cleaner, Minaltrato ng Mayabang na Hotel Guest! part2

BYD, the most aggressive electric and hybrid vehicle manufacturer in the Philippines and the world, is set to launch its highly anticipated second-generation blade battery in 2025. Designed to deliver even better range, performance, and lifespan, this cutting-edge battery promises to address the needs of Filipino drivers looking for efficient and reliable electric vehicles.

In a recent interview during the COP29 summit in Baku, Azerbaijan, Cao Shuang, Managing Director of BYD Central Asia, highlighted the game-changing potential of the new battery. “This will enhance the driving distance of our vehicles and extend the life cycle of the battery itself,” Cao shared, emphasizing BYD’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of EV technology.

The first-generation blade battery, launched in 2020, redefined safety and performance for EVs with its lithium iron phosphate chemistry and innovative design. The upcoming version builds on that foundation, incorporating faster charging speeds and improved energy density. Industry experts predict that the new battery could achieve a charging multiplier of 5.5 C and a discharging multiplier exceeding 14 C, ensuring quicker recharges and robust energy delivery.

BYD is also focusing on sustainability by developing battery life-cycle management systems. After their initial use in vehicles, the batteries can be repurposed for energy storage and other industrial applications, further contributing to environmental conservation. This holistic approach aligns with BYD’s goal of providing advanced, sustainable solutions for the future of mobility.

In the Philippines, where BYD has been leading the charge in EV and hybrid adoption, the upcoming battery is expected to make their vehicles even more appealing. With its ability to handle long drives, diverse terrain, and tropical conditions, the new technology addresses the practical concerns of local motorists.

BYD continues to set the global standard in electric mobility, ensuring that innovation benefits drivers in every market, including the Philippines.
