H1709004 Customer na mukhang mahirap ayaw papasukin ng waitress Cinemyr Films part2

When we think of performance vehicles, our minds typically jump to sports cars, muscle cars, and supercars—machines engineered with one goal in mind: speed. Off-road capability is rarely part of the equation.

For Ford, the most track-focused powerhouse in development is the Mustang GTD, an 800-horsepower beast built to dominate the asphalt, capable of exceeding 289 km/h. However, in a recent interview with Top Gear, Ford CEO Jim Farley says the Blue Oval brand is actively exploring the idea of a Raptor-branded supercar designed specifically for high-performance off-road driving, pushing the envelope of what ‘supercar’ means.

The news comes from a recent Ford Performance launch event in Charlotte, North Carolina. Interest in such a vehicle comes as no surprise, given Ford’s ongoing push to lead the off-road segment with its Raptor lineup and its growing presence in global motorsports.

“We’re in the middle of creating something, so we don’t have all the answers yet, but the question is, should Ford make an off-road supercar? Not a version of a car, a standalone supercar.”

Raptor T1+

Mark Rushbrook, Ford Performance’s global director, weighed in on the topic. He expressed a desire to expand beyond the current Raptor lineup, which includes the F-150, Bronco, and Ranger. Rushbrook also emphasized Ford Performance’s mission to inject as much motorsport DNA as possible into the brand’s road cars, noting that the Raptor T1+ currently stands as the king of the Raptor lineup.

However, as mentioned earlier, Jim Farley says that this off-road supercar won’t be an existing version of a Ford already on the market, which means a production version of the T1+ is off the table.

If the project moves forward, it could result in one of the most extreme performance vehicles yet. Hopefully, Ford will bring this bold vision to life.

For a taste of Ford’s off-road capabilities, the Ranger Raptor is available for purchase locally. Visit AutoDeal.com.ph to explore options and connect with a sales agent to kickstart your car-buying journey.
