Ford has revealed the latest iteration of the Ranger truck in the form of the Ford Ranger Super Duty. Where the Ranger Raptor is built for playing around in the mud, the Ranger Super Duty is built to work and haul for long hours.
As the name implies, the Ranger Super Duty is a commercial-grade pickup built for serious work. As such, this truck was engineered and rigorously tested alongside the F-Series Super Duty lineup, bringing with it a host of innovative features to the midsize truck segment.

Starting with the looks, the Ranger Super Duty boasts bold 33-inch all-terrain tires, wide fender flares, extensive flat black accents, a standard snorkel across all variants, and a bespoke stamped hood, the Super Duty commands attention.
Under the hood is a 3.0-liter Ford PowerStroke turbodiesel V6. While official output figures haven’t been released yet, this same engine in the Australian-market Ranger delivers 247 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque.

As the name implies, the Ranger Super Duty is a commercial-grade pickup built for serious work. As such, this truck was engineered and rigorously tested alongside the F-Series Super Duty lineup, bringing with it a host of innovative features to the midsize truck segment.

Starting with the looks, the Ranger Super Duty boasts bold 33-inch all-terrain tires, wide fender flares, extensive flat black accents, a standard snorkel across all variants, and a bespoke stamped hood, the Super Duty commands attention.
Under the hood is a 3.0-liter Ford PowerStroke turbodiesel V6. While official output figures haven’t been released yet, this same engine in the Australian-market Ranger delivers 247 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque.
That muscle translates to a maximum towing capacity of 4,500 kg—well above the 3,400 kg limit of any current U.S.-spec Ranger. Payload and curb weight details haven’t been shared yet, but with a gross vehicle mass of 4,500 kg and a gross combination mass rating of 8,000 kg, it’s clear the Ranger Super Duty is aiming squarely at the heavyweights in Ford’s F-Series lineup.
Since we’re on the topic of hauling and towing, the Ranger Super Duty introduces Ford’s Smart Hitch and onboard scales—tools designed to help drivers monitor payload and optimize load distribution, all accessible through the infotainment screen.
For added durability, Ford has reinforced the suspension mounts, box mount brackets, and tow bar mounts. Heavy-duty underbody bash plates also protect key components—including the engine, front differential, transfer case, transmission, and fuel tank—ensuring the truck can handle rough off-road terrain without compromise.
In addition, Ford has equipped the Ranger Super Duty with beefed-up differentials and reinforced driveshafts, borrowing the front diff from the Bronco Raptor and fitting a larger solid rear axle to handle serious punishment. Both front and rear axles feature off-road-rated locking differentials, paired with 8-stud wheel hubs and larger bolts for enhanced load-bearing strength.
To support demanding workloads, the cooling system of the V6 inside this truck has been upgraded, and the fuel tank capacity has been increased from 80 to 130 liters—ideal for long-distance hauls. As with other top-tier Ranger variants, the Super Duty features an advanced 4WD system with a two-speed transfer case and six selectable drive modes for versatile performance on and off the road.
The Ford Ranger Super Duty will make its way to Australia and New Zealand in 2026. As for other markets like the Philippines, we’ll have to wait and see if the Super Duty will go on sale in Asian markets first.
