The Tiggo nameplate is Chery’s competitor for crossover SUVs. Models you probably already recognize include the Tiggo 2 Pro, the Tiggo 5x Pro, the Tiggo 7 Pro, and the largest of the bunch, the Tiggo 8 Pro.

At the 2025 Manila International Auto Show, Chery revealed that three new models will join the lineup. The first car of the three has already been launched on April 10, 2025, it’s the Chery Tiggo Cross, a budget-friendly compact crossover that doesn’t skimp on tech or performance.

The Chery Tiggo Cross shares some design cues with its larger sibling, the Tiggo 7 Pro. Up front, it boasts sleek LED headlights and a distinctive Diamond Accent grille that lends it a more premium presence. Enhancing its bold look are vertical LED daytime running lights, stylish five-spoke alloy wheels, and new wraparound Tiger-Stripe LED taillights connected by a center light bar across the tailgate. Black body cladding adds a touch of ruggedness to the crossover’s overall aesthetic.

Inside the cabin, the Chery Tiggo Cross is equipped with dual 10.25-inch displays—one serving as a digital instrument cluster for the driver, and the other as the main infotainment touchscreen. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, ensuring seamless smartphone connectivity. Up front, the driver and passenger are treated to sporty, racing-inspired seats, while the rear bench mirrors the same black leatherette upholstery for a cohesive and premium feel throughout.

Powering the Tiggo Cross is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, delivering a modest 114 hp and 138 Nm of torque. It’s paired with a CVT that simulates nine gear ratios, sending power to the front wheels for a smooth and efficient drive.
