H1109004 Babaeng Gustong Ahasin ang Jowa ng Kaibigan part2

Ford didn’t wait for the showroom to upgrade the Mustang GTD. The brand’s upcoming Mustang GTD just proved it’s not done getting better. Even before the car started production, Ford brought it back to the Nürburgring and managed to set a new lap time that was more than five seconds faster than its previous run.

In the latest test, the Mustang GTD clocked a lap time of 6 minutes and 52.072 seconds. This beats the earlier lap time of 6 minutes and 57.685 seconds, which it already set back in 2024, and at the time, it was already the first American-made production car to go under seven minutes at the Green Hell. Just like before, factory driver Dirk Müller drove the car, with support from racing partner Multimatic.

While the weather was better this time, Ford also made several updates under the hood and around the car. The GTD now has 804 hp, and the team worked over the winter to update the engine’s software, make the chassis stiffer, improve how the brakes and traction control work, and tweak the aerodynamics for more downforce. All of these were aimed at getting more predictable handling and a faster lap time.

These upgrades clearly worked. With this new time, the GTD is now faster than the 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 with the Manthey kit, which had a 6:55.737 lap. It’s also just under three seconds behind the Porsche 911 GT3 RS’s 6:49.328 lap time.

Even though the GTD has already set an official lap time, it hasn’t started reaching customers yet. Ford says production will begin soon, and all customer units will come with the latest updates seen on the Nürburgring test car. It will cost a bit over roughly P17.4M, which is a big price tag, but the Mustang GTD looks ready to deliver when it comes to performance.

While there’s no update yet on when it will launch or if it will reach the Philippines, it’s already getting a lot of attention. In the meantime, take a look at what Ford currently offers at AutoDeal.com.ph.
