Hyundai has gone all-in with the new IONIQ 9, and if the price doesn’t scare you off, it might just be one of the most practical electric SUVs coming soon. The carmaker has released full details for the all-new IONIQ 9, its first three-row electric SUV. The base model can go as far as 335 miles on a single charge. Buyers will get to choose from six different variants, all offering different power, features, and range.

The 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 9 will soon be arriving at dealerships, and pricing has now been confirmed. Starting at around P3.5M (with destination fee), the IONIQ 9 S RWD is the most affordable variant. It runs on a single-motor rear-wheel drive setup that makes 215 hp and offers the longest range at 335 miles on a single charge.

Higher trims come with two motors and all-wheel drive. The SE and SEL trims both produce 303 hp and are rated for around 515 kilometers of range. These are priced at about P3.8M and P4M ($69,000 to $72,000), respectively. If you’re looking for more power, the Performance variants make up to 422 hp and come with a range of about 500 kilometers. The top variant, Performance Calligraphy Design, is priced at around P4.5M ($88,000).

Hyundai says the fastest version can reach zero to 100 km/h in about 4.9 seconds. The IONIQ 9 measures almost 5,000 mm long, with a 3,100 mm wheelbase, making it roomy inside for all three rows. Inside, there’s around 1,900 mm of headroom and 2,050 mm of total legroom across the second and third rows.

Underneath, the IONIQ 9 uses a 110.3 kWh battery, and the flat floor helps make more space for passengers. This model is Hyundai’s fourth EV, following the IONIQ 5, IONIQ 6, and Kona Electric, and will be assembled in Georgia, USA. In terms of price, the Kia EV9, which is similar in size and tech, starts slightly cheaper at around P3.3M ($60,000).

Hyundai hasn’t shared yet if the IONIQ 9 will be sold in the Philippines, but with the IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6 already available locally, there’s a chance we might see it here in the future. In the meantime, check out Hyundai’s current lineup at AutoDeal.com.ph
