H1309001 NAGTITINDA NG KAKANIN SINABIHANG MADUMI NG CUSTOMER part2

Ditching diesel for a battery-powered setup, Isuzu’s new D-MAX EV has just launched overseas with specs made for real work. Isuzu is entering the electric pickup market with a version of the D-MAX that runs on battery power.

The fully electric D-MAX has just been revealed and is scheduled to start deliveries in Europe by February 2026. It keeps the same tough and practical look outside, but now uses dual electric motors instead of a diesel engine. According to Isuzu, it’s the first electric pickup in Europe built with full commercial use in mind.

Buyers in the UK will get to choose between two trims, the eDL40 and the top-spec eV-Cross, and can pick between Extended Cab and Double Cab body styles. The colors available include white, silver, black, and blue, with an exclusive white pearl finish for the higher trim. Isuzu also showed off a special blue version during its debut, complete with black accents and 18-inch wheels.

The electric D-MAX uses two motors that together produce 188 hp and 325 Nm of torque. This setup sends power to all four wheels and includes Rough Terrain Mode from the diesel version. It can tow up to 3.5 tons and carry over 1,000 kg in the bed, which matches the numbers of diesel pickups. The truck also has 600 mm wading depth and 210 mm ground clearance.

Isuzu goes electric in the UK with the D-MAX EV

A D-MAX with a P4.7M price tag isn’t something we expected to see, but here it is, and it’s going all-electric.

Europe will get the fully electric D-MAX in 2026. Will Isuzu bring it to the Philippines too?

The 66.9 kWh battery gives the truck a rated range of 263 km. Charging from 20 to 80 percent takes about an hour using a 50 kW DC charger. Isuzu offers an 8-year or 100,000-mile warranty for the battery. It rides on a modified version of the regular D-MAX’s frame, but now uses a De-Dion suspension setup at the back instead of leaf springs, which should help with ride comfort.

The truck made its first appearance at the 2025 Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham. Pre-orders opened in the UK last July 21, with customer deliveries set for early 2026. Starting price is £59,995 GBP before tax, which converts to about P4.7M. Compared to the top diesel versions, that’s over P2.5M more. Even the high-riding AT35 version made by Arctic Trucks is cheaper.

For now, the electric D-MAX is confirmed for Europe only. Isuzu hasn’t said anything about bringing it to Southeast Asia or the Philippines. Still, with the push for more EVs and the D-MAX already a popular name here, it might not be impossible to see this electric truck in local showrooms one day, especially if local charging improves and prices become more competitive. While we wait for more updates, you can check out the D-MAX that’s already available on AutoDeal.com.ph, along with other Isuzu models.
