MANILA: Sales of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Incorporated (CAMPI) and Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) continue to show signs of slowdown in July 2025.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

How many vehicles did CAMPI-TMA sell in January-July 2025?

The two groups retailed 269,207 vehicles during the first seven months of 2025

How many units did CAMPI-TMA sell in July 2025?

Last month, the two organizations delivered 38,295 to clients.

Based on the joint report, the groups retailed 38,295 units last month — reflecting a and 5.4 percent slowdown compared to the 40,483 vehicles sold in June this year. The same performance is also 2.4-percent lower than the 39,331 vehicles rolled out to customers for the same month last year.

Amid such an experience, the two organizations’ retail performance for the first seven months of the year is still on an upward trajectory as it delivered 269,207 vehicles to buyers — a 1.4-percent rise when stacked up against the same timeline the previous year.vehicle volume Photo by Ruben Manahan IV

CAMPI-TMA attributed the sales figures to the weather-related disruptions that affected operations. The slowdown was cushioned, the group noted, by the “strong commercial vehicle demand and signs of recovery in the passenger car segment.”

“The industry’s continued growth, particularly in commercial segments, reflects strong market fundamentals and the agility of our members in navigating short-term challenges. We are optimistic that the momentum will carry forward into the second half of the year.” With new model launches, promotional campaigns, and improving consumer sentiment on the horizon, CAMPI and TMA remain confident in the automotive sector’s sustained recovery and expansion,” CAMPI President Atty. Rommel Gutierrez said.CAMPI President Atty. Rommel Gutierrez Photo by Ruben Manahan IV

It can be recalled that CAMPI-TMA’s year-to-date sales for June 2025 is 230,912 — two-percent higher when measured up against the 226,279 vehicles handed over to buyers for the same timeline the previous year.

Vehicle sales per category

Taking more than 80 percent of CAMPI-TMA’s sales numbers for January-July 2025 is the commercial vehicle segment, which contributed 215,440 units to the groups’ overall retail volume.

On the other hand, year-to-date sales of the passenger car segment for the initial seven months of 2025 slid down by 24.1 percent after turning over 53,767 examples.
