In its official social media page, the company announced that the aforementioned model will be formally introduced to the local market on August 29. This will be done publicly at the SM Mall of Asia Entertainment Center. Customers can also check out the multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) at the same venue until August 31.

Although the model’s specifications have not yet been confirmed, Carmudi Philippines were given a glimpse of the model in a recent media preview and here are some facts about the vehicle.

As seen in the special event, the model boasts a new look as it now comes with a refreshed front fascia that showcases the brand’s latest take on the Dynamic Shield design — varying designs for the Xpander and Xpander Cross). At the back, the vehicle’s major update is the new rear bumper design.

MMPC has yet to share if the new Mitsubishi Xpander will carry over the potent in-line-four, double overhead cam, 16-valve, 1.5-liter engine (similar to the one in Indonesia) or its upgraded kind that comes with hybrid technology (now available in Thailand).
To recall, speculations about a new-energy-vehicle version of the Mitsubishi Xpander started when the Three-Diamond marque made its debut at the Land of Smiles in February last year.
More features are expected to be fitted in the new Mitsubishi Xpander so an increase in the pricing compared to its outgoing version might also take place.
