MANILA: Chery Auto Philippines (CAP) bolstered its new-energy vehicle lineup with the launching of the all-new Tiggo Cross HEV.

Instead of a nine-speed continuous variable transmission (which was made available in the standard all-new Tiggo Cross), the HEV kind sends the said numbers to the front wheels via a dedicated hybrid transmission.

Further, the powertrain also has a 51-liter fuel tank and a 1.83-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery that, when combined, lets the vehicle cover up to 1,200 kilometers.

The vehicle received a five-star rating from the Australasian New Car Assessment Program, thanks to its myriad of safety and driver assistive features, which comprised of:

14 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) functions
360-degree camera with transparent view
Adaptive cruise control

It is packaged with an eight-year or 160,000 kilometers high-voltage battery warranty, and a 5-year or 150,000KMS (whichever comes first) bumper-to-bumper warranty.
