Mitsubishi Motors and Security Bank team up to make car financing easier for Filipino buyers.

If you’re tired of hopping from one bank to another just to finance a car, you’re not alone. Mitsubishi Motors Corporation and Security Bank have teamed up to form Mitsubishi Motors Finance Philippines Inc. (MMFP), which now offers financing support to car buyers across all 67 Mitsubishi dealerships in the country. The service, called “Mitsubishi Motors Finance powered by Security Bank,” first became available in five dealerships last April and has now expanded to all locations nationwide.

This launch is part of Mitsubishi’s mid-term plan called Challenge 2025, where the company sees Southeast Asia, including the Philippines, as a key area for growth. With a growing population and a strong auto market, the Philippines has become one of Mitsubishi’s top markets in the region. Last year, Mitsubishi sold 91,639 vehicles in the country, showing a 12% increase compared to the year before, and now holds a 19.5 percent share in the local market.

Since many car buyers in the Philippines use financing to buy their vehicles, MMFP is expected to play a big part in helping more people afford a Mitsubishi. The idea is to combine Mitsubishi’s strong dealership presence with Security Bank’s financial services to give customers a more convenient way to apply for loans.

Takao Kato, President and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors, said the launch shows the brand’s continued support for the Philippines. He added that working with MMFP and their local production team will help them grow and continue serving customers across the country.

Security Bank President and CEO Sanjiv Vohra also shared that the new service is part of their promise to make banking better for Filipinos. He said MMFP will help make car ownership easier and more affordable by offering trustworthy and easy-to-access financing.

Satoshi Nakano, President and CEO of MMFP, explained that the goal is to offer car financing that more Filipinos can apply for without hassle. He said this joint effort between Mitsubishi and Security Bank aims to support both buyers and dealers across the country.

Let’s be honest, buying a car usually comes with a bit of a wallet sting. So with MMFP now available in all Mitsubishi dealerships, customers can ask about financing directly when shopping for a car, making the process easier and faster. Or if you’d rather stay in, just shop online at AutoDeal.com.ph.
