True to their word, Ford is officially bringing its electrified products into the country, starting with the new Ford Territory Hybrid. It has now launched in the Philippine market, making us the first market in Ford’s International Markets Group (IMG) to have the vehicle on sale.

Without further ado, let’s talk about what’s new on the Territory Hybrid. Like before, the Territory Hybrid is available in two variants: the Trend and the Titanium X. The Trend offers the essential hybrid powertrain and a suite of standard features suited for daily driving. The Titanium X, on the other hand, steps things up with larger alloy wheels, upscale interior finishes, a panoramic moonroof, a coast-to-coast LED bar, and a host of advanced driver-assist technologies.
Both the Territory Trend and Titanium X variants are powered by a 1.5-liter inline-four Dedicated Hybrid Engine, paired with a two-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission and a 1.83 kW Lithium-Ion NCM high-voltage battery. This hybrid system delivers a maximum engine output of 148 hp and 230 Nm of torque, while the electric motor adds up to 215 hp and 315 Nm. No combined output figures are available yet, but we’ll be on the lookout when it comes out.
With different hybrid driving modes including EV, Series, Parallel, and Energy Recovery, the Territory Hybrid optimizes fuel efficiency and provides smooth, responsive torque delivery, particularly in stop-and-go city driving, according to Ford. The electric motor enhances acceleration performance, enabling a zero to 100 km/h sprint in just 8.5 seconds. The Territory Hybrid also offers three selectable drive modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport, as well as three selectable power steering modes: Comfort, Normal, and Sport.
In terms of looks, the overall silhouette of the Territory remains unchanged, but the front has received a radical update. First on the list is a redesigned hood and fenders that flow seamlessly into an updated front grille, while LED reflector headlights and revised daytime running lights give the front an aggressive touch. At the rear, a full-width LED taillight bar and a reshaped bumper complete the refreshed look. At the sides, the Trend variant comes with a new 18-inch wheel design, while the Titanium X rides on larger 19-inch wheels. The Titanium X also differentiates itself with a sleek, wrap-around LED position lamp.
Inside, the Titanium X comes with multi-color ambient lighting and a big 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster paired with a matching 12-inch touchscreen. Both versions support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Ford adds that the upgraded infotainment system lets you pair devices faster and smoother than before, and the new Human Machine Interface (HMI) lets you control the A/C without having to leave your phone screen. Cabin entertainment is complemented by an Arkamys SoundStage audio system.
Both trims also get new seats and interior trims that boost comfort while keeping things looking sharp and premium. To top it off, the Territory Hybrid features front acoustic glass that helps keep wind and road noise down, so wind noise will have a hard time creeping in, even cruising at 120 kph.
The Territory Hybrid wasn’t the only one on stage today, however, the Mustang Mach-E also made an appearance. In a surprise move, Ford Philippines have also announced that the Mustang Mach-E will make its way into the Philippine market as well, specifically, in the Extended Range, AWD spec. Pricing? The Territory Hybrid starts at P1,399,000 for the Trend variant all the way up to P1,599,000 for the Titanium X.
Sound familiar? That’s because the price of the top-range Territory is unchanged from its pure internal combustion form. As for the Mustang Mach-E, Ford Philippines has revealed that once this electric crossover goes on sale, it will come with a price tag of P3,499,000.
