If you happen to find yourselves around Newport Mall in mid-June, you should keep a lookout for an intriguing sight. In that vicinity, Mitsubishi will be showcasing one of its latest concept cars from June 16 to 18, 2023.
Before we delve into the details, it’s important to note that the concept car on display will not be the XRT Concept, which is anticipated to be the next-generation Strada/Triton. Instead, Mitsubishi will unveil another exciting future model, the XFC Concept. The XFC Concept will be exhibited at The Grove, Garden Wing, situated within the Newport Mall in Pasay City. So, if you’re eager to get an up-close view of a concept car, you’ll soon have the opportunity to do so.
The XFC Concept serves as a sneak peek into an upcoming subcompact crossover that will soon join Mitsubishi’s lineup. It was initially unveiled in October 2022, and the production version is scheduled to hit the market in the middle of 2023. Although the road-ready version of the XFC Concept hasn’t been given a specific name yet, it will likely compete against the Toyota Raize and Kia Stonic.

If you happen to find yourselves around Newport Mall in mid-June, you should keep a lookout for an intriguing sight. In that vicinity, Mitsubishi will be showcasing one of its latest concept cars from June 16 to 18, 2023.

Rumors suggest that the XFC Concept is built on the next-generation Xpander chassis. If this holds true, it is highly likely that it will be equipped with a 1.5-liter engine borrowed from the popular Mitsubishi MPV. The XFC Concept incorporates elements from the Xpander and other recent Mitsubishi models through their dynamic shield design philosophy. Noteworthy features include T-shaped headlights, a broad grille, and distinctive lines adorning the doors and panels. Naturally, we can expect the production model to be somewhat toned down, but Mitsubishi assures us that it will retain its high ground clearance.

Given that the XFC Concept is being showcased in the Philippines, there is a strong indication that the production model will also be introduced in the country, the same way that the Xpander was introduced after showcasing the Xpander Concept locally. Mitsubishi is set for a busy year in 2023, as they plan to unveil the production version of the XFC and introduce an all-new Strada before the year comes to a close.
