H0110004 GURO NANGOLEKTA NG ISANG LIBO PARA SA SPECIAL PROJECT part2

In July 2022, Toyota introduced the latest iteration of the Crown, the sixteenth-generation model. The reveal initially focused on the US-bound crossover variant, but Toyota Chairman Akio Toyoda also announced three additional body styles that would be part of an expanded lineup adding that the sixth-generation will be a reboot for the Crown. At the time, Toyota did not divulge on any specifics aside from letting us know of the new variations of the Crown, until now.

This April, initial technical information on the three new body styles named the Crown Sport, Sedan, and Estate models has been released before these models go on sale in Japan this year. The estate model however will be on the shelf for a little while longer as it is due to release later in 2024.

All three models will be available with hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains, and will feature seating for up to five people. The Crown Sedan will be offered with two-wheel drive, while the Sport and Estate will come with four-wheel drive. Toyota has mentioned that the sedan will have options for 19- and 20-inch wheels, while the Sport and Estate will ride on 21-inch alloys.

Toyota has mentioned that the sedan will have options for 19- and 20-inch wheels, while the Sport and Estate will ride on 21-inch alloys.

Toyota Crown Sedan

Let’s start with the biggest one of the three, the upcoming new-generation Crown Sedan. The new sedan’s dimensions measure in at 5,030 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,470 mm in height. Notably, this generation will exclusively feature hybrid powertrains, with no non-hybrid models available. The standard powertrain for the new Crown Sedan will be a hybrid system.

Next up is the Crown Sport, the coupe-crossover-like version of the Crown is the smallest among all the Crown models, but it is still a large vehicle in general. Measuring at 4,710 mm in length, 1,880mm in width, and 1,560mm in height, it is slightly longer and significantly wider than the RAV4, although not as tall. The Crown Sport will be offered with hybrid or plug-in hybrid powertrains. The production model for the Crown Sport will be launched in the autumn of this year, the same time as the Crown Sedan.

Toyota Crown Estate

Last in the range is the Crown Estate. The Crown Estate, the wagon variant of the Crown, is slightly smaller than the sedan, measuring at 4,930 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,620 mm in height. It will be available with hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrain options. Toyota has announced that the full reveal of the Crown Estate is scheduled for sometime in 2024 a few months later than the Crown Sedan and Sport which will likely debut at the 2023 Tokyo Mobility Show this October.
