H0110005 Nanay na may Asim Pumatol sa Binatilyo part2

If you remember the showcase that Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) flaunted at the Manila International Auto Show 2023 (MIAS 2023), with the actual CS35 Plus crossover that has traveled a smidge over 100,000 Km with very minimal signs of wear and with no significant parts needing replacement. You can’t help but be impressed with this feat, and Changan wants you to know that it is thanks to its BlueCore technology that helped achieve this kind of robustness, reliability, and fuel efficiency.

Changan BlueCore was introduced in 2011, marking a significant advancement in Changan’s engine technology and promising drivers a powerful, clean, and quiet driving experience. In 2019, Changan’s research and development team unveiled the BlueCore NE Platform, a continuation of the innovative design that adheres to current emission and fuel consumption standards. This achievement was the result of four years of collaborative efforts between 200 engineers from the Changan Power Research Institute in China and the Changan UK R&D Center. The BlueCore engine, recognized as one of China’s Top 10 engines, is utilized in the entire Changan vehicle lineup, including models available in the Philippines.

To ensure consistent performance, Changan employs the Changan Automobile Product Test and Verification System (CA-TVS), subjecting every engine to over four million kilometers of test mileage or 4,500 tests across 15 areas such as environment, strength, and safety. The Blue Core engine was exposed to extreme temperatures ranging from 80 degrees Celsius to -45 degrees Celsius and tested at elevations of zero to 4,700 meters. In 2020, the Blue Core engine made headlines by breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest live video broadcasting, running continuously for 259 hours at a sustained speed of 5,500 rpm without displaying any signs of wear or tear, a testament to its reliability and stability.

In the Philippines, the endurance test of the Changan CS35 Plus further demonstrated the engine’s durability. The vehicle traveled across the country for seven months under varying road and weather conditions, accumulating a total mileage of 100,000 kilometers, equivalent to five years of typical usage. Remarkably, the CS35 Plus powered by the Blue Core engine remained in excellent roadworthy condition even after this arduous journey, requiring only consumable parts like brake pads, oil, tires, wiper blades, and drive belts to be replaced.

A look into Changan’s BlueCore engine technology

The BlueCore technology enhances combustion efficiency, reduces weight and power loss, and improves fuel delivery control and injection timing. As a result, it achieves 20% lower fuel consumption, contributing to cost savings for vehicle owners while simultaneously reducing harmful emissions in the atmosphere by 40%. In anticipation of the “China 6” regulation implemented in 2020, which established the most rigid vehicle emissions standards globally, Changan’s BlueCore engine was already compliant with these standards in 2019. As part of Changan’s Shangri-La Project, a new energy strategy, the Blue Core engine is continuously being developed to meet the even stricter “China 6b” standards that will be enforced from July 2023 onwards.

This compact and lightweight engine not only delivers reduced fuel consumption but also impresses with its idle noise level of 60.8 decibels and lowered fuel consumption by 1 liter per 100 kilometers, surpassing China’s National Noise First-Class Evaluation Standard. Some Changan vehicles integrate Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) technology, employing two clutches for automatic or semi-automatic gearboxes. This system allows for faster shifting between odd and even gears, eliminates the need for torque converters, and consequently reduces emissions and unnecessary stress on the engine.

With its powerful performance, quiet operation, and eco-friendly attributes, Changan Blue Core fulfills the desires of today’s motorists who prioritize optimal performance and fuel efficiency.
