Back in May, Honda gave the world a sneak peek of its latest subcompact crossover, known as the Elevate. This June, Honda Cars India has now officially showcased this compact crossover, unveiling its specifications and notable features. Introducing the highly anticipated 2024 Honda Elevate, this new SUV carries sleek, masculine, aesthetics, compact dimensions, and an extensive array of standard features and amenities. Making its official debut in New Delhi, this city will be the Elevate’s first stop before going to other markets.
Interestingly, unlike other SUVs in Honda’s lineup, the Elevate steps away from using the “-RV” naming formula as found in the HR-V, CR-V, and BR-V. In addition, the Honda Elevate was designed by the Honda R&D Asia Pacific center in Thailand, according to them, the Elevate was designed to cater to discerning younger customers who seek both prestige and comfort, while embracing an active and vibrant lifestyle. In fact, Honda says it developed the Elevate through a concept that they call “Urban Freestyler.”

The Elevate measures 1790 mm in width and 1650 mm in height, with a generous wheelbase spanning 2650 mm. Honda’s new creation features a boxy body, striking headlights, and an equally boxy front grille. Powering the small crossover is a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine, delivering an output of 119 hp and 145 Nm of torque. Customers will have the choice between a six-speed manual gearbox or a continuously variable transmission (CVT) to put power to the front wheels. In addition, this compact crossover h as an impressive ground clearance of 220 mm.

Inside, Honda says the Elevate has an interior designed with the philosophy of “Progressive and Protective,” prioritizing comfort, functionality, and safety. The cabin exudes a welcoming atmosphere, with a two-tier design featuring a prominent floating touchscreen display as the centerpiece and convenient stacks of storage bins. With a range of interior color combinations to choose from, customers can personalize their cabin according to their preferences. Certain variants of the Elevate offer the option of elegant wood trims, adding a touch of sophistication to the small crossover. Lastly, the Elevate offers a spacious rear cargo area, offering up to 458 liters in space while the rear seats are up.
In terms of features, the Elevate’s equipment includes a seven-inch digital multi-info display and a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Additional features comprise an electric sunroof, a wireless phone charger, 60:40 split rear seats, convenient charging points for both front and rear passengers, and rear A/C vents. The Elevate is offered with Honda’s SENSING suite of safety features, elevating the crossover’s level of protection.
