H2909008 INAGAW NG ANAK KO ANG ASAWA KO part2

Mazda launched the CX-60 last month, and we’re still in awe of the crossover’s elegance. We thought that Mazda would be content with the CX-60 for a while, but it appears that the brand couldn’t keep its “biggest” secret in the stable for too long.

The CX-60 is a tour de force in rethinking the crossover formula in the mainstream market. Mazda has gone the extra mile to cater to customers that love driving, and it’s hit the nail on the head in the driving aspect of the CX-60.

Its bigger brother, however, the CX-90, has been in question after the launch of the CX-60, and now we kind of have our answer thanks to a particularly interesting photo from Chino Lauron.

The CX-90 is already in the Philippines, as per the photo. The unit pictured is in Rhodium white, and it’s definitely the CX-90 with the new Kodo Design language—similar to the CX-60’s—shining through the white and pearly paint. We know for sure that this is a Mazda CX-90 since the brand didn’t do anything to hide the badges or to cover anything up. There isn’t even a hint of camouflage on the car. The taillights are also different from the CX-60’s, so we’re sure that the model wasn’t mistaken for the new five-seater crossover.

So what does this mean? There were murmurs and rumors that Mazda would be bringing its upper-tier crossovers into the market prior to the CX-60’s launch. During the launch, a bunch of questions were raised as to the future of the Mazda lineup—and the brand said that there is more to come.

With this image, we’re quite positive that Mazda Philippines will be launching the CX-90 next, a seven-seater crossover, which we hear will have the same straight-six motor with M-Hybrid Boost under the hood, a tan interior (hopefully), and all of the driver-focused features that made the CX-60 such a special crossover. We’re also expecting all-wheel-drive, the longitudinal engine layout, at least seven seats, and more legroom and cargo space, as well as a more expensive price tag compared to the five-seat CX-60. Given the jump in size, however, we’re hoping that the price of the CX-90 will hover around the three to four-million peso mark, no more than that.
