Subaru is bringing back the performance-driven tS trim level in the second generation of the Subaru BRZ lineup. Just as in the previous model, the tS package brings along with it some major improvements in the brakes and suspension, coupled with extra visual features and exclusive badging.
The 2024 BRZ tS was officially unveiled at the Subiefest event in California yesterday, treating attendees to a first look at the new model, complete with a plethora of photos on where Subaru made some extra changes.

Starting with the mechanical changes, upgrades on the Subaru BRZ tS consist of a set of Brembo brakes on both front and rear axles, distinctive 18-inch wheels, and”STI-tuned” suspension featuring Hitachi dampers. The brake system incorporates larger rotors, 325 mm in the front and 315 mm in the rear, surpassing the stock GR86 and BRZ by 30 mm and 25 mm, respectively.

Subaru is bringing back the performance-driven tS trim level in the second generation of the Subaru BRZ lineup. Just as in the previous model, the tS package brings along with it some major improvements in the brakes and suspension, coupled with extra visual features and exclusive badging.
The 2024 BRZ tS was officially unveiled at the Subiefest event in California yesterday, treating attendees to a first look at the new model, complete with a plethora of photos on where Subaru made some extra changes.

Starting with the mechanical changes, upgrades on the Subaru BRZ tS consist of a set of Brembo brakes on both front and rear axles, distinctive 18-inch wheels, and”STI-tuned” suspension featuring Hitachi dampers. The brake system incorporates larger rotors, 325 mm in the front and 315 mm in the rear, surpassing the stock GR86 and BRZ by 30 mm and 25 mm, respectively.
According to reports, these brakes are also the ones equipped in the Toyota GR86’s new Performance package for 2024. However, it’s worth noting that Subaru’s implementation of Hitachi dampers differs from Toyota’s Sachs units, which means the two cars should behave differently in terms of handling.
In terms of appearance, the BRZ tS is different from the normal BRZ with distinct visual cues such as the noticeable badge displayed on both the grille and trunklid. Additionally, the brake calipers sports gold paint, while the dark gray 18-inch wheels is has slight design deviations from the standard model. Stepping inside, the tS variant has elegant blue stitching and a blue leather accent adorning the seats, complemented by STI logos on the start button and gauge cluster. Subtle changes to let people know its the more focused BRZ in the line.
The standard BRZ’s 228 hp 2.4-liter flat-four engine remains unchanged in the tS variant, however, the tS comes exclusively paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The tS model will be offered in all of the 2024 BRZ’s available exterior color options. Furthermore, Subaru’s EyeSight driver-assistance features will be included in the tS, marking a new inclusion for all 2024 BRZs equipped with manual transmissions, enhancing safety and convenience for drivers.
