MINI is going to reveal two new EVs on September 1, 2023, at 5:00 PM, Philippine time. Before that, however, the brand is letting out one last teaser before all covers are blown and we get a first look at the new products from MINI.
Previously, MINI has been slowly trickling in the information about its new models, and we can ascertain a few things such as a longer wheelbase compared to current internal combustion (ICE) models but with about the same. Apart from that, the base trims could come with a 40-kilowatt-hour battery with about 386 km of range on a single charge. The electric motor is rumored to output up to 181 hp in the base trim. In the SE trim, we can expect a respectable bump in power, with 215 ponies from the electric motor, and a larger 54 kilowatt-hour battery pack.
The EV’s interior was previously revealed and covered by sources, but we’re still a little foggy on the final exterior look that the two models will flaunt. The interior, however, is what you would expect from MINI, with all the fun shapes and personality-filled panels being one of the brand’s main selling points.

Following that, the MINI Countryman will be based on the BMW iX1’s platform. Compact, small, and capable as a crossover, it’s likely that the driving dynamics of both cars will also be at par if not a little more exciting than its BMW counterparts, of course, because it’s a MINI. As for its power output, the Countryman will get a standard output of 188 hp from a single motor and a 54-kilowatt-hour battery. The SE ALL4 trim wil get two electric motors and also 308 hp with a 64 kilowatt-hour battery pack.
A John Cooper Works variant is expected in the near future as well, though we’ll have to wait and see what kind of excitement MINI will inject into that trim.
