At the 2023 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the refreshed 2024 Jeep Gladiator broke cover showing off all its latest enhancements. This revamp includes redesigned front and rear fascias, improvements to its standard features, and an upgraded suite of safety equipment.
Starting with the most noticeable change, the Jeep Gladiator’s front end is lifted from the recently updated Wrangler. The 2024 Wrangler’s contemporary yet recognizable seven-bar grille, known from the JL model, has already undergone adjustments, and the Gladiator follows suit. Notably, the spacing between the bars has been modified, and the vertical bars no longer feature body-colored elements. Furthermore, the entire lineup will incorporate LED lighting for 2024, along with an integrated antenna within the windshield. Even more good news, Jeep is bringing in seven new wheel designs for the 2024 model-year, all of which can be fitted with either 32 or 33-inch diameter tires.

As for powertrain options, the 3.6-liter V6 is the sole engine choice for the new Gladiator as the diesel has officially made its exit. This V6 engine delivers 285 hp and 352 Nm of torque and comes paired with a six-speed manual transmission. However, for those who prefer an automatic transmission, Jeep offers an option to upgrade to an eight-speed automatic.
The lineup offers four different four-wheel-drive systems, allowing customers to tailor their trucks to their preferred method of off-roading. Dana 44 axles are mounted up front and rear giving the Gladiator the trademark Jeep off-roading performance. The Gladiator has a 295 mm ground clearance and can traverse waters 800 mm deep. The truck’s maximum approach, breakover, and departure angles are set at 44.7 degrees, 20.9 degrees, and 26 degrees, respectively. No need to worry about bumping the Gladiator’s beautiful bumpers on anything.

The Gladiator also adopts the revamped interior themes seen in the updated Wrangler, complete with the larger 12.3-inch infotainment system powered by Uconnect 5. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard across the whole Gladiator lineup. What’s new for the Gladiator as well as the Wrangler is the Adventure Guides with the Trails Offroad system. This system is an integrated trail maps system that replaces the need for third-party trail apps. This system includes user-updated information on more than 3000 trails. Initially, customers will receive a complimentary trial of the program, offering access to up to 62 trails, with a subscription service required for full access.
The 2024 Gladiator lineup will consist of the following trims: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Mojave, and Rubicon. Moreover, this latest update introduces two new trim levels, namely the Mojave X and Rubicon X. These heightened, ultra-offroad packages come equipped with a full-time transfer case, modular steel bumpers featuring integrated off-road cameras, and luxurious Nappa leather-trimmed front seats.
As for pricing, though Jeep has opened the reservation books for the 2024 Gladiator, prices for the US market are still under wraps. Here in the Philippines, the previous generation of the Gladiator is still alive and kicking, if you prefer the look of the older Gladiator, you can still have that.
