Mazda Philippines has officially introduced the world to the inaugural Mazda CX-90, a harmonious blend of luxury, comfort, and premium design. This vehicle, based on the Large Product Platform, represents the convergence of performance and refinement encapsulated within a meticulously crafted package.

It stands as the most advanced model in the company’s history, exuding sophistication that extends beyond the driver’s seat, catering to the entire family. The CX-90 boasts powerful, responsive performance, captivating design, and intuitive technology, marking a groundbreaking addition not only to its segment but also in Mazda’s ongoing pursuit of a premium brand identity.
The CX-90, the second vehicle built on Mazda’s Large Product Platform, leverages a front-engine, rear-wheel-bias all-wheel-drive layout, elevating Mazda’s renowned driving performance. It features Kinematic Posture Control (KPC), a system designed to minimize body roll during cornering, enhancing grip and stability for all occupants. Rigidity optimization spans the entire vehicle body, with meticulous attention given to seat and suspension design to provide superior balance, control, and confidence in various driving scenarios.
Powering the CX-90 is an innovative e-Skyactiv-G 3.3-liter inline-six turbo engine, which generates 280 hp and 450 Nm of torque using 91 to 95 RON gasoline. A 48-volt Hybrid System enhances efficiency while preserving performance. This hybrid system includes an integrated electric motor generating 16 hp and 153 Nm of torque, positioned between the engine and transmission, enabling the electric motor to power the CX-90 independently. This results in smooth acceleration and a refined driving experience. When the lithium-ion battery is adequately charged, the CX-90 can operate solely on electric power, further improving fuel efficiency.
The eight-speed automatic transmission, specifically tailored for the electrified powertrain and large platform vehicles, provides smooth and direct acceleration while enhancing drivetrain efficiency.
The Mazda Intelligent Drive Select (Mi-DRIVE) system offers four selectable drive modes (Normal, Sport, Off-Road, and Towing), ensuring outstanding performance and safety across a wide range of driving conditions.
The large platform grants the CX-90 a longer, wider body (5,120 mm by 1,994 mm) and a lengthier wheelbase (3,120 mm), serving as a canvas for the vehicle’s striking design. The exterior features sleek, carefully sculpted curves that create ever-changing reflections of light and shadow. Thoughtfully placed chrome accents emphasize width and timeless styling, while the available 21-inch diamond-cut wheels with a black metallic finish enhance its commanding presence.
The CX-90 is offered in Mazda’s Artisan Red Premium color, a deeply saturated shade explicitly designed for this flagship SUV, symbolizing the fusion of performance and elegance.
The dignified design ethos continues inside the CX-90’s cabin, where the interior conveys a sense of spaciousness from the dashboard through to the doors, incorporating metallic accents for a modern, linear aesthetic. Inspired by traditional Japanese aesthetics, the interior showcases luxurious and comfortable materials such as supple Nappa leather and Leganu suede inserts.
The CX-90 boasts generous interior dimensions, with seating for either eight adults (2+3+3) in the CX-90 3.3L AWD HEV Turbo or six passengers (2+2+2) in the CX-90 3.3L AWD HEV Turbo Exclusive. Accessing the third-row seats is effortless thanks to the design of the rear doors, which feature a larger step for comfortable ingress and egress. The second-row bench seat incorporates a one-touch walk-in switch for added convenience.
Cargo capacity is well-considered, with 257 liters of usable space behind the second and third-row seats, expandable to 1,163 liters when the third row is folded. Folding both seating rows flat provides an enormous 2,025 liters of cargo space.
To facilitate the loading and unloading of long objects with the second-and third-row seats folded down, Mazda has created a flat tailgate opening with a cargo floor area that features a five-degree incline, eliminating height differences between the cargo floor and rear trim. A hands-free power tailgate further simplifies cargo handling.
The Mazda CX-90 is equipped with advanced technologies and amenities that elevate the driving experience while ensuring premium comfort and convenience for all occupants. The human-centric experience begins with three high-definition main displays: a 12.3-inch infotainment center display, a fully digital 12.3-inch driver’s instrument panel, and a 10.4-inch heads-up display. The Mazda Connect system enables seamless smartphone integration via wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. A 12-speaker Bose sound system provides an exceptional auditory experience. Cabin amenities include tri-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, rear door sunshades, second- and third-row USB-C charging ports, ambient lighting, and more.
The Mazda Driver Personalization System enhances personalization by using facial recognition technology to adjust seats, door mirrors, heads-up display, and steering wheel to the driver’s physique while restoring more than 250 stored settings, including vehicle, audio, and climate preferences. Driver Entry/Exit Assist automatically adjusts seats and steering wheel positions for recognized drivers, making entry and exit more convenient.
Safety is paramount in the Mazda CX-90, with a comprehensive suite of i-Activsense safety features, including Front and Rear Smart Brake Support, Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Cruising and traffic Support, Adaptive LED Headlamps (ALH), Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring with Vehicle Exit Warning, Front and Rear Cross Traffic Alert with Brake Support, and more. The 360° View Monitor with See-Through View assists in parking situations by displaying obstacles in blind spots on the large 12.3-inch center display.
The Mazda CX-90 is available in seven captivating shades, including Artisan Red Premium, Rhodium White Premium, Machine Gray, Platinum Quartz, Sonic Silver, Deep Crystal Blue, and Jet Black. It comes in two variants with the following prices, inclusive of a five-year Free Service Plan.
