While that holds true for the Land Cruiser SE, Toyota has nonetheless provided some intriguing info, complemented by a collection of digital renderings. Starting with the car’s size, the Land Cruiser SE measures in at 5,151 mm in length, 1,989 mm in width, and 1,704 mm in height, with a substantial 3,051 mm wheelbase. This means the Se Land Cruiser has an additional 203 mm over the current J300’s wheelbase.

Toyota has stated that the LC SE features a unibody construction and is equipped with three rows of seating, providing accommodation for up to seven passengers. While Toyota has not divulged specific details regarding powertrains, they have alluded to the concept’s capacity to deliver a “high-torque driving experience.” Given the Land Cruiser’s legacy, Toyota will give it a beefy powertrain to keep fans happy. Moreover, the concept implies that it’s not confined to conventional roads, as the press release underscores its “confidence in tackling challenging terrains.”
Moving on to its looks, while the traditional gas-powered Land Cruisers are known for their substantial height, robust build, and large tires, the Land Cruiser SE concept goes the other direction with its notably lower, more streamlined profile, accentuated by the forward-slanting rear hatch. In addition, its colossal wheels are paired with low profile tires.
These design choices doesn’t mean that the Se completely forgot the purpose of its namesake. Some design features of the Land Cruiser are retained such as squared-off wheel wells and fenders, a nearly level hood, and rectangular headlights, echoing design elements from the enduring SUV lineage.
That’s all there is to say for now about the Land Cruiser Se as it is stil in the concept vehicle stage of life. Nothing is set in stone when it comes to the Se’s future as a production vehicle but it does give us hope that the Land Cruiser nameplate will live on.
