So what kind of Bronco will Ford be bringing to the Philippines? Since Ford’s email only mentioned the name Bronco and not the Bronco Sport, we can assume that we will be getting the truck-based Bronco and not the compact crossover version. The truck-based Bronco sits on the Ford T6 platform, a platform it shares with the Ranger and the Everest.
In terms of propulsion, the Bronco is available with three powertrain choices in the United States: a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder turbocharged engine, and a 2.8-liter V6 EcoBoost twin-turbo, delivering 300 hp, and 330 hp, respectively. As for body styles, a two-door and four-door version is available in the United States. Pricing and technical specifications for the Philippine-spec Bronco are still unknown. We’ll keep you posted once Ford releases them before the Bronco launches.
