Don’t expect all the full details right now though as Mitsubishi is currently keeping details under wraps. The teaser photo implies some exterior modifications, like some blue accents on the side steps and the wheels, but that’s as far as we got with just the teaser.

Details on the powertrain are still unknown but according to MMC, they said that it will be a full hybrid. This is in contrast to an earlier statement saying the Xpander hybrid will only be a “mild-hybrid.”
Right now, the Xpander is powered by a 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder gasoline engine that puts out 103 hp and 141 Nm of torque. According to a report by AutoIndustriya, they speculate that the Xpander hybrid could receive the e-POWER powertrain from the Nissan Kicks e-POWER, judging by the suspiciously similar e-MOTION branding found in the teaser. In addition, this connection is not far from reality because Mitsubishi is part of an alliance with Nissan and Renault.
Nothing is set in stone until the official launch of the Xpander hybrid comes. So until February 1 rolls around, we can only really speculate on what this hybrid version will come with. In the meantime, the gas-powered Xpander is available in the country with three variants to choose from as well as the more rugged Xpander Cross.
